| In Depth | Our Suave collection at furnfurn.com includes this rattan and velvet lamp. One velvet ring surrounds the hanging lamp, which has a cylinder shape. There is also a green version of this lamp. Whether used alone or in combination with other lamps from this collection, the Suave lamp is stunning. In the sunlight, the elegant velvet lamps look stunning. And a real eye-catcher in the evening, when the light is softened by the rattan weaving and makes a lovely pattern on the wall and ceiling. Each of our Suave lamps is individually made from velvet and rattan. Rattan is a liana or climbing palm that grows up trees and can reach lengths of up to 100 meters. Seventy percent of the existing rattan species are found in Indonesia, which is home to tropical forests in South East Asia. Children are taught the specialized skills of weaving rattan by their parents to create baskets, furniture, and lamps. The vintage lamp designs that served as the basis for the Suave collection were given a contemporary and colorful makeover by our designers. Each and every one of our Suave lamps is made by hand using premium velvet and natural rattan. A chic cloth cord and a black metal ceiling cap complete the look of the hanging lamps. Natural rattan, a standard fitting, a metal ceiling cap, and a cloth electrical cord are the materials. Maintenance Other than periodic dusting, there is typically no maintenance needed. Additional details: The lamp's cord is 200 cm long; the fitting is a type E27; the maximum wattage for the light bulb is 60; and the light bulbs are not included. |
